Aloha! My name is Kate, I am a Daughter, Friend, Sister, Designer, Entrepreneur, Dyslexic (yes, I had to look up how to spell that), Coffee Drinker, and most importantly... Just a Woman Trying to Change the WORLD.
 
I created this dress because I gained 53 pounds in 28 days. In other words, I went from a 0 to a size 10 in less than a month. I understand my story is not all that unique, but it hit me hard. I created this dress because I feared my closet. I was scared of trying things on as well as the sudden self-deprecation that would come moments after. I remember sitting in the doorway of my closet... staring in... and my stomach just turning from the thought of needing to put on clothes today.

And through all of that I finally had a moment of clarity. I realize that I was not the only woman in this world dealing with the battle of gaining and losing weight.

So, I decided to change it; I decided to change the way that we feel about our bodies. I spent almost 2 years creating a design. One dress that was womanly with no need to suck in or wear a bra, was incredibly comfortable and soft, and lastly but most importantly could go from a size 00-22. Sounds like a tall order. Now you see why it took me 2 years.

So, go ahead; stop fearing your closet and give yourself peace of mind. Life will always hit you with something whether it is weight gain or weight loss, but now you have a tool to take on the world in whatever shape you are in.​
